What is the Wasatch Expo?

The Wasatch Fly Tying and Fly Fishing Expo is a gathering of fly fishers, fly tyers, fishing guides, destination outfitters, fly fishing equipment vendors, and enthusiasts. The Expo features a diverse range of educational, conservation, travel, fly fishing, and humanitarian activities.

– Educational opportunities to learn fly fishing, fly tying, and advanced casting techniques from nationally recognized experts

– Women’s only events

– Dozens of fly tyers demonstrating some of their favorite patterns and techniques that catch fish

– Youth programs where kids have the opportunity to tie flies and learn to cast a fly rod

– A casting pond for attendees to try casting new fly rods supplied by the vendors

The Utah Chapters of Trout Unlimited and Fly Fishers International sponsor the Expo.

Funds raised at the Expo support conservation and education activities of the participating chapters.

Workshops are being offered on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Most workshops have a nominal fee that must be paid when you sign up. Be sure to bring your phone to show your Expo receipt, which will be your ticket. Most workshops sell out, so don’t wait — sign up now!

Some workshops listed below are being offered at no charge, but space is limited, so show up early. There are no advance registrations for these workshops.

Occasionally, something will cause a last-minute change, so when you make your payment, please provide your email address and phone number so we can contact you. If the schedule changes and you cannot make the revised time, we will refund your money.
